Now that we have a pretty sizeable membership across the club, thinking we should start organizing "official" tuning and painting shops. Seems like that's one way the established clubs generate a lot of credits for events, get their presence felt in the community, etc. Personally, I am a decent painter and have a knack for fonts and logos, would like to find some other folks to work with on vinyls/liveries, etc. Seems like we have some good tuners as well, perhaps we can start building some "club tunes", etc. Anyone else interested?

are you saying selling designs and tunes made by club members on the storefront to raise money for the club?

Yeah, I get the sense there's a lot of collaboration within some of these clubs to deliver highly-refined tunes and liveries, and they generate some serious coin doing so. That leads to running contests and events, which leads to more presence, which leads to more sales, and so on and so on.... Wink

As said on the announcement at the top of the home page, I am currently working on many liveries, designs, vynils and tunes for the AMC members, I very much like your idea thought. The new banner is one of the cars I hve finished and are extremly happy with. Its simple but nice.

If you would want, your storefront aswell as mine can be the official AMC Shop we can say. Definetly hope to see you on one night to talk about it more!

would also be available to host some designs and tunes on my storefront since i do not use it that much. Then i guess weekly we can gather the profits up and see what we have to work with.

Sounds good to me, we should have for example 10 of each designs, tunes etc the same on all storefronts just the name is sent out more, then use the rest of spots for unique stuff, still in amc style but your own stuff.

Yes and then ill be keeping track of the profits so well have to do some auctions to transfer the money. Plan on Making some variations of the logos i already have, we also need to make standardized prices.

Well, I was thinking along these lines - in addition to general logos, etc., we should work towards our first official AMC "Classic Muscle Car Pack", featuring some number of cars (4-5) with tuning packages and matching liveries. We would ideally want the best drivers in the club working to get some top times on the leaderboards driving these cars, having the best photographers taking pictures with these cars, and then leveraging all that to promote both the Club and the Pack. Sorry if that seems like too much of a business/marketing plan, but that seems to be the way the better clubs operate and fund their activities. I've talked to a number of guys who say they generate 200-400k daily in credits on their storefronts with their Club tunes/liveries, etc. Just something to think about....

Cool, ok, so we should start thinking about what we'd like to do - reproductions of actual cars, fantasy stuff, etc. For example, I was reading something the other day about Big Red ['69 Camaro]. Could be a good one to consider: http://www.bigredcamaro.com/newsite/

Alright well seems we all got good ideas for cars. Tach make the BigRedCamaro, ill make the f-bomb(which is coming out verynicely!) Subie do that. I'll work on a 69 GTO livery. aswell

Only things that sucks about the f-bomb is that it has 1530ft/lb torque and 1472hp the zri engine only puts out a misely 927hp, with 860ft/lb torque Sad lol!

I wasn't actually planning on doing Big Red, as I'm not really a Camaro guy, was more just giving it as an example. I'll give it a shot though.... I will also work on a Boss Mustang, either some actual one or a unique one of my own design. If anyone has a good example to start from, let me know.

I would love to help as well. I have a couple vintage logo's in my storefront (AutoLite, Champion, Koni, etc.) and have even done one for the club if anyone is interested. The AMC logo is not in my Storefront though...if anyone wants it I can gift it to you.

Whatever you guys need me to do I'll gladly help be it decals and liveries.

Right now I'm working on the Castrol classic logo.

People should start putting up images of their available vinyls or something, so everyone knows what's already out there in the group. Perhaps we need a Club Vinyls/Liveries gallery, aside from the storefront thing, so we have one place to look.

Well, I am game to give it a shot, though I did come up with an idea for a pair of Boss Mustangs I want to explore. I'll see what I manage to get done tonight....

My cobra jet design is up, kinda disappointed that the storefront does not show the car with the body kit and wheels that were on the car when you saved the design because with out the Saleen Kit on it, it looks like a bunch of crap.

Guys I would like to participate also. My storefront is heavy on vintage decals (STP, ESSO, KONI, Champion, etc) and old school racing liveries. Still designing more, weekly. Right now, I have the 1965 GTO "Gray Ghost" Trams Am car, driven in 1971 by Bob Tullius of "Group 44" fame. This car was Herb Adams wifes car ( he actually used a 1964 GTO), and he set it up for Trans Am racing in 1971, when Pontiac got out of factory sponsored racing following Jerry Titus death. The Gray Ghost actually started last in line at its first race, and got up to 2nd place before the engine blew. It had 5-6 top 5 finishes and a couple of podiums during the 1971 Trans Am season.

Also featured are a couple of Nascar themed 1964 Impalas, and some vintage Jag and MBZ liveries coming in a day or so.
Though not American muscle, these cars feature hood straps, extra lights, etc.
There will be Aussie Falcons with old school Ford Torino race themes this week end also. Would appreciate the views and the ratings if you like the liveries.

Im willing to donate a Gray Ghost that Ive tuned as a promo, giveaway type car. Im at "robluvcars1" storefront.

Cheers,

R

P.S.
As for Big Red, shes legendary! But how do we get past the vinyl top, since shes a red hard top 69 Camaro?

Thanks.

R
